Paid my $125 SI membership just to say this!!!! Byron, I sent you an e-mail earlier today on the topic of engaging the cloaking device, but wanted to post to ensure that you got it. (I am as unsure of myself in getting the job done right as Mr.D is!) You and Macker and all the rest of been very successful in building a coalition of investors on this board. That coalition does not only include the good folk that post to this board, but also all the lurkers that read this board faithfully (or not so faithfully, as the case may be). I was among those lurkers until tonight. I will not presume to speak for all the rest. I can only tell you my story. This is my first BB stock. I tend to be more conservative by nature, but felt I needed to get my feet wet with a riskier stock to improve my returns. I heard about DGIV through the YAHOO AMD board. I started looking into it and reading this board. That went on for about 2 weeks while I was trying to make up my mind about the stock. On April 24 I decide to buy and jumped in for 4,000 shares at 6 3/4. It was your (and Macker's) clear vision and ability to predict upcoming events that made me feel secure enough to finally take the plunge. Now, I want to assure you that I look at that as my responsibility, not yours - it just helped me get over my d*mned conservatism. Monday, I added to that position by a 1,000 shares at 8. That decision came about as a result of the discussion on this board. I like the decision; the money is at no higher risk than the rest. However, the fact remains that I was swayed by the discussion. How many times have you seen messages written here that come from people that are normally daytraders and decided to stay. Certainly, part of that decision was because of the nature of this stock and hope for future profits, but just as certainly, at least part of the decision was based on the things said right here. There is no question, Commander Byron, you have power. When you called for a stock count, look at the response you got... and it wasn't just from the regular members of this board. Was it? When you called for a headcount, current holdings & ability to buy more, look at the response you got and are still getting. The same is true for your call to request our certificates. There is no doubt, you are leading us. With that leadership comes responsibility to your followers. On Sunday night, you made a statement to buy everything we could at the opening bell on Monday. How many people do you think were swayed by that request - if not totally, at least partially. Why would folks be swayed? Because they have at least some level of trust in you. You have treated them right. You have shared information. Everything you have done so far is consistent with you being on the up and up. However, since very few on this thread know you, much less have ever spoken to you, the source of that trust lies with your sharing of information. Didn't we have a discourse recently aout the power of information and that this thread was a perfect example of that power? Even if you set-up a mailing list to share information, you are going to miss all those followers that lurk. Worst yet, I saw a suggestion to e-mail only certain folks that post here. I urge you not to do this in the strongest terms. If you set-up a system where "some pigs are more equal than others," (my apologies to George Orwell) I believe you will effectively destroy what has been built here. That would be a shame. I am sorry for being so long-winded. It's my nature and I feel pretty passionate about this subject. Trust and communication are THE key ingredients to being an effective leader. Even without the prognostications, this is both an INFORMATIVE and FUN! thread, but it would lose its magic. I know that you will do what you think is best... and to a very great extent, I trust that judgement. Please just give this plea its due consideration. Rick p.s. I've wanted to join the thread and join the fun for a while now, but could not justify the $125 in my mind until now. I'd love to join the cast of characters... p.s.s. Also sorry for the leadership lecture... it just seemed natural to make the point.
