Dude,

Most of us on the CSCO thread have one thing in common. We are happy CSCO shareholders. I have been since 1995, wish I could have gotten in sooner. We appreciate this company's management for sustaining market leadership and creating shareholder value. ( $ 77 Billion worth !!). If you are not a happy shareholder and you visit this thread, you are more than likely a frustrated employee of one of CSCOs competitors, trying to convince us that CSCO will fail soon, or you are an investor trying to find out when a good time to buy is.

I don't believe you are in the latter category. If you believe CSCO will falter, please let me know who will succeed and why. Let's make this an intelligent debate instead of a whining session. If you can tell me about one of CSCOs competitors that has a good product, that is well managed, that will grow faster than the industry average, that has a good sales team, good distribution channels, solid support let me hear about them. I will be open enough to listen, maybe even buy some of the company's stock (bought ASND in the fall at $ 26 and very happy that I did). This is what SI is all about. If you don't have anything constructive to say, spare me the tears. It's a doggy dog world out there.

Cheers,

Peppe

Stockman,

I just couldn't resist the opportunity..

I believe this is the way Cisco operates. They HIRE their competitions sales and engineers, by BRIBING them with Cisco options (which since Cisco is overvalued by many measures, is worthless in the short term).

Cisco up 40% ytd (from 55 in Jan.). Cisco, with their bonus and option program attracts many of Silicon Valley's best and brightest. Is that why you're still at BAY? I can understand that you're bitter that you haven't been approached - but they are hiring 1200 more this quarter. Why don't you send 'em your resume.
