Brad,

thanks for your response and opinion. i agree w/bull4now, and i'm relieved that you feel the same way. i don't mind hitting the "next" button when i come across a msg that i consider a waste of my time. much better recourse than shutting someone out.

Thanks Brad,

I've decided that it's just too difficult to obtain any remedy for abusive posts by complaining to Jill. It seems to have little or no effect. And she must be completely overwhelmed with trying to figure out all the he-started-its.

If there are offensive posts on a board, the best thing, for me at least, is just to completely refrain from making any posts there.

David

Brad: A good decision, to go with constructive enhancements rather than the alternative, especially with limited programming time. I think the additions to SI have been terrific and am looking forward to the next ones. Linda

Really really amazing, how you feel it necessary to "open" our minds for us. I as a paid user of SI am requesting a feature to allow me an easier way to "freely" "choose" what I (as a paid SI user) want to read.

No one is asking you to allow me or anyone else to ability to make those "choices" for any one else. We are only asking for the ability to more easily exercise our own freedom of choice.

The so-called "ignore" feature, if it performs the above requested function, sounds like what I want. I perform this feature manually now. But I shouldn't have to pay money to do it manually.
