Eric, with good marketing the iMac could be quite a success. I just wonder how they got the price down that low. With it's specs it's looks to remain best of class well into 99. The Powerbook G3 should be a raging success and it looks to remain best of class through the end of 99 based on Intel's roadmap. I wonder why the Powerbook marketing is lagging the intro though. Also wonder at the apparent product overlap between the AIO and the iMac. I think there's a little bit of fuzzy thinking there. I hope the design of the iMac doesn't hold it back, it seems sometimes great industrial design is not welcome in the PC marketplace.

How was Jobs' expression when he mentioned the IE 4.0 thing, people laughed and he said it was the best. Over realaudio it sounded to me as if he was sincerely defending it or was he being ironic. I still believe a Microsoft/Rhapsody partnership for the IA-64 space is a real possibilty.

My only other concern is a high end commercial machine. The G3 doesn't have the expandability in RAM or slots for this market, correct. I wonder if it's a mis-step to leave this go? Rich

Where can I find a complete transcript of Jobs's speech?
