Don, this sounds right, and sounds like simply a result of using a limit order, instead of market order. Of course, this assumes the order was not really executed at 16:03:50. Datek does have the limitation of no "all or none". If they did have "all or none", and you had specified it, you would still be holding all 500 shares.

Also, I have never seen Datek execute a sale after about 16:00:09, for me anyway. If they actually executed your sale at 16:03:50 I would inquire about this. It sounds odd. They do not execute before or after market trades, and if they did, you should have a legit complaint.
