WV,

I'd prefer to be more cautious about "enforcing" an admittedly self-imposed deadline on the powers that be at PNLK. In reality, their "original" launch date was to have been in April according to their web info. That as we now know has slipped to "by May 15th."

I for one would not, "will not" be disturbed if that date were to slip a bit further. There are just too many credible people involved as well as the fact that Proxicom is the site developer. In saying as strongly as you do that they essentially "must" meet the date or else, I sincerely believe creates an atmosphere that is dangerous.

Let's face facts; if Microsoft, Sun, IBM and probably too many more to mention were to have "failed" due to late introduction of one piece of software or another, they would not be here today. Unfortunately, being late with software is more the rule than the exception.

Lastly, if the day before launch a substantial deficiency were to be uncovered, and the system was crashing every time a particular command was given, I would rather PNLK take the time to solve the problem than have them hit the street with a net site that "bombed" 20/30/ or 40% of the time.

While I sincerely believe your intentions are honorable, I would caution all to be a bit more lenient in this matter. After all PNLK does not yet have a large client base and is in the phase of trying to put their best foot forward. That best foot is a system that "works" more than it is a system that is on "precise" schedule.

Let's not confuse shareholder needs with client needs. The customer always comes first.
