Don't worry. Consider this, how many people on this SI site think they are smarter than Bills and company? If this is DOJs' true intention, MSFT should have known that on Tuesday, and they have 10 days to come up with a solution. I guess MSFT will backoff and provide a browserless version of Win98. Stock may or may not drop. Still remember the Pentium float point bug? Breaking up MSFT? Hm.... Their revenue is less than 15% of the software industry, hmmmm.. Breaking up INTC? Their revenue was almost flat for the past year and laying people off, hmmm...

>Why doesn't the gov't. just come in and run the software industry

Becuase now Gates is almost running it. I'll choose the gov.

Who says the courts are going to go along with this Gestapo crap?

Are you talking about MS Gestapo tactics?

Read the press. They compare MS to Tobacco companys, drug dealers, and the Mafia. And of course Bill's buddy Leroy Hoard's who must be a clone of Joseph Mengele:

The press has been finally educated.

Breaking up Microsoft would be the best thing that could happen to the software industry. Microsoft prevents competition and innovation. They do this legally and illegally. They should be punished for breaking the law just as much as someone who robs a bank.
