Marc, I think that was me mentioning Rhapsody/Microsoft partnership for the IA-64 machines. That's been my pet peeve for a while now. From what I hear, Microsoft is not going to have an NT offering for IA-64 Merced on time. IBM and Sun have already partnered to offer Solaris with a Java interface. I think the relationship between Jobs and Gates is much stronger than most realize. It would make good sense for Microsoft to base their IA-64 offering on a port of Rhapsody with perhaps and NT or Mac type interface. IA-64 at least for a while is going to only play in the very high end $15K and up so it wouldn't hurt Apple. But while I would see an announcement that Rhapsody will be ported to IA-64, I wouldn't expect either Apple or Microsoft to let anyone in on such a project until just before a product launch late next year. < Interesting that you, and others, have sold today but plan on buying back before
Monday. I would have thought the pullback will come tomorrow morning, after we go up a ways first.>

Actually you are right. I was really looking for a bit weakness in the AM on Thurs. 29.9375 was the best I saw this
morning. I expected any sell off to happen then or not happen at all .
Hence I'm back in with my same position at approx. 30.125 and feel
fortunate.

Monday is the time
Rhapsody is the thing
They need something sexy for Rhapsody to hang its hat on
How about Adobe ? I am only casually
knowledgeable about this, but Adobe may have the most to gain with Rhapsody. Since their customer selling base is currently split between win/mac. Development on Whrapsody would enable them to write once for both platforms and presumably reap the corresponding benefits
This is something I think that is worthwhile. Apple needs to make this or something like this to happen now. Apple/Jobs may( probably) have to bankroll such a project substantially.
It would be worth it. That isif he can get any takers.

IF he can get one big one, well ........
I believe its off to the races.

Ditto for a big game.
Actually isn't there somebody already doing this. Maybe Quake II ?

Trade aapl however you like,
but to invest.......... buy a Mac
