Btw, there was another one in a DC newspaper about Clinton showing up at his last "press conference" with a pair of pink panties attached to his upper arm. When queried by the press, the almost-President honestly declared (no doubt a momentary slip) that "it's the patch, I'm try to quit". Judging by letters to the paper, it seems that joke was taken seriously by many, even though labelled "just a joke". I guess many thought that was a description of the man rather than a disclaimer.
