Ed , hold it !
you are asking too many questions of Elmer . Don't forget that many Intel investors view Intel as a no brainer investment and that means they are not used to thinking about their investment .
Seriously you raised a point that has been mentioned before , as K6 has a superior architecture at its core when the externals (L2 cache speed) are put on a more level playing field then any advantage Intel had is now reversed ,
Brian

<You haven't been able to find 1 single benchmark backing up your claim,>

Thanks for more proof Ed. Again, you too were unable to find a benchmark backing up Brian's claim.

Frankly, I expected there WOULD be benchmarks out there showing the Celeron to be slower than a Pentium 200, like Brian said. That's what I expected. There have been 14 benchmarks posted and only 4 have shown the Celeron to be slower than a 233mhz Pentium MMX and 0 showing it to be slower than a 200,

I'm not trying to argue the Celeron is great, just that the specific claims here about poor performance don't have any facts to back them up.

Thanks for disproving Brian's BS.
