I think it's a good match, but read that Daimler first approached Honda. Honda is the amazing automotive success story of the last 30 years. I always think it is a little sad when cool European car companies merge with American ones. Now the tail lights on Jaguars look like the ones on Ford Crown Victorias!! Gross!! I agree. Ford has big problems in the styling department - remember many say they copied the original Taurus from the Audi 5000. The new iteration is an original - and a mess. As for the Jag, I believe that people bought it because of the Brit idiosyncrasies that Ford has homogenized out. They were automotive art. If you want state of the art Euro, you will always buy German. No bogus beef? Then I must say, Good night.
