Who on earth is Springer? Speaking of homosexuals, is there anyone at all at SI who is "out"? There is such hostility towards them, well, actual hatred, really, on some of the threads, that it is hard to imagine anyone who would make themselves miserable, and a target as well, by outing themselves here, even if they are totally "out" in the communities in which they live. There is something about cyberspace that makes it very easy to be hateful and rude. As Penni has so accurately observed, the normal social conventions do not apply here. We say things to each other we would not dream of saying face to face. I do think it goes almost without saying, however, that everyone is welcome at the Feelings thread, in the closet, totally out gay and proud, transgendered, asexual and celibate people, and run of the mill heterosexuals and bisexuals as well.
