Hi Dick,

Good to hear from you!!

Thanks for responding to my posts. Lots of good pts.

>>and it's better to discuss these things, and try to understand what each other is saying, so that we all understand the Street and the World better than other people<<

that's why I'm rambling on and on.... I'm trying to understand
things as much as I can...I'm trying to get deep
into the COMS ZONE (as in twilight zone<g>)

>>I'm always suspicious, though, about techie types (as many of us are, here) trying to understand the market.<<

Yes, that's why were investing in tech stuff. We invest in
what we know. This is a good start, but not good enough, as we
soon find out when we lose $$. The market is the greatest
humbler/teacher of all. Anybody out of touch with reality
will be fleeced.

I do try to understand the market. But, lately, I'm trying
to understand the mechanics of the business itself. I subscribe
to the idea that if the fundamentals of a business are sound,
then, in the long term, the price of a stock gravitates to
it's true value.

Aside from the tech skils of COMS, I think the company is
very capable. There's good planning (except, maybe with
the modems stuff, which is very debateable), good marketing,
some seasoned veteran's who have experienced tough times,
some business minded leaders in the organization - people
who have the right vision. I think there's people in
COMS who are good at taking tech stuff and turning it into
a marketable product for mass consumption - good at thinking
about how to crank out a profit.

What's your sense of the non-technical side of COMS?

Thanks -

Joe
