Read my next post responding to Mang.

I think it's bad for COMS to be competing directly with
CISCO at this moment. Their high end products have to
ease into the market slowly, through lots of education,
and proving themselves, etc...

Their immediate plan (for '98) is to get the Modems,
NICs, and other lower end related stuff going. If they
can't do this it's probably better for the average
investor to wait a year and get back into COMS.

I think the modems will do all-right, even though they
will have a slow start.

Cable modems, DSL, etc. - this stuff is still a year or
two away. 56K speeds is the ONLY interim solution.
I know lots of people still using 14.4bps and want to
make the upgrade...

Right now, a company would much rather pay more and make
sure their legacy systems work (and Cisco products are good...)

Like I said, if COMS has to compete against CISCO's
customers, it's DEAD before it even starts.
