Now's the time to buy ORCL. May 31 is their fiscal year end. The stock always starts to move up in anticipation of year end earnings news in mid-June. Not to mention their incredibly dominant market position.

Hi Mudcat, I like Oracle, as a long-term holding. I sold half of my shares and holding the other half tight. However, I wrote Jan 99 $35 covered call on them last month just for good measure.

If you are comfortable with it; purchase Orcl via writing puts may be a good idea right now (or half raw share, half via selling puts.) I am thinking about writing May/Jun 25 puts myself. In addition to strong F/A, I value the fact that Larry A. owns a big chunk of Orcl (such as Gates' large ownership in Msft).

Good luck, Jan
