The lack of scsi and the floppy are fine since this is forward looking.

I think we are entering the age where all our peripherals will hang off our local ethernet. When we want to add our next drive it will be a dedicated server off our local net. Since this is all it does it will be cheap (a few hundred $ over the cost of a drive) ... plus it will be sharable with all the other computers in the house. Same with the printer ... basically the world is on the move to ethernet in the home (for shared resource) and USB for local single computer devices.
