PeakSoft Announces Next Generation of Web Browsing Acceleration with
PeakJet(TM) 2000, Java Technology Advancements Resu

BELLINGHAM, WASHINGTON--PeakSoft Corporation (ASE:PKT;
OTC-BB:PEAFF), a pioneer in the development of Internet research
and communication technology, today announced PeakJet(TM) 2000.
PeakSoft invented Web browsing acceleration technology and brought
Net.Jet 1.0, later renamed PeakJet, as the first-to-market product
in the browsing accelerator category in November 1996.

PeakJet 2000 is a Java-based upgrade to PeakJet 1.5 and adds
increased browsing speed through the addition of a new Java
Runtime Environment which includes Symantec's JIT compiler.
Additional user configuration options have been added to increase
ease-of-use, the graphical user interface (GUI) has been enhanced,
and several new features have been added to improve browsing
efficiency. PeakJet 2000 will be available on the PeakSoft Web
site (http://www.peak.com) about June 15, 1998 and in retail
stores in early July.

Priced at $39.95 (Suggested Retail Price), PeakJet 2000's retail
package will include two CBT Systems(TM) training programs,
"Searching the Internet", and "Understanding and Using
Newsgroups", a $200 value at no extra cost to the user. PeakJet
2000 will be available via download from the PeakSoft Web site as
an upgrade from PeakJet 1.5, for instant purchase, or as a free
trial with secure commerce purchase option.

"Although ADSL and ISDN high speed connections are high on the
end- user's 'wish list', we're facing some significant delays in
any kind of wide-spread affordable availability of high-speed
Internet connections," stated Doug Foster, president and CEO of
PeakSoft. "PeakJet 1.5 found a market with Internet "early
adopters" and we believe there is a growing demand and awareness
of web browsing accelerators in the mainstream market."

PeakJet 2000 delivers real-time Web acceleration through
innovative look-ahead and auto-freshening agents, intelligent
cache management, and increased modem utilization. Streamlined
cache design and improvements in Java technology result in
browsing speed increases from 2 and, in some cases, up to 10 times
faster compared to PeakJet 1.5.

PeakJet 2000 offers users additional configuration options to
customize the program's operation based on individual needs and
preferences. Look-ahead agents can be set to grab all links
associated with a page, or to select only those links visited at
least once previously. This history-based look-ahead option
enables users to browse quickly on a net-friendly basis, reducing
bandwidth consumption.

New features include easy-to-initiate off-line browsing,
capability to switch browsers on-the-fly, a "Top 20" list which
identifies the users' 20 most frequently visited sites, and an
amplified history function called Tracer. The Tracer creates an
editable chronological history of all pages visited with date/time
stamps and color coding to enable easy retrieval of previously
visited pages. The Tracer further enables users to build a
session-based browsing system tailored to their individual needs.

"PeakJet has been recognized as the fastest browsing accelerator
in head-to-head testing by C|Net," continued Foster. "We've just
made it considerably faster and easier to use. For people who
need to be more productive online, PeakJet 2000 will result in
significant time and hard dollar savings when local phone access
is chargeable, making PeakJet 2000 a valuable tool in
international markets."
