You're right that things look "anemic"---I just hate to look at a sea of red, as some of the recent gains slip away. (buying opportunity, yeah, I know) It seems to me that unless oil prices strengthen on a daily basis or some very encouraging OPEC news comes out, we'll be drifting up and down, probably more down, just as we have over the past few days. It's going to take sustained confidence in higher oil prices to really lift off. Bottom line is that I do not perceive the de-coupling of the sector from oil prices as much as some folks. All IMHO, and of course, could be way wrong. (I was wrong once, I think in 1984---major ggggggg)

Marc **

Has anyone heard any news from the conference in Houston ?

Marc...
In checking the H-town Chron. this A.M., could find no news on OTC.

The only related news concerned OIL futures down on news OPEC missed
production cuts and Mexico Bolsa down due to oil price weakness may require further cuts in national budget. (They have already cut 2 times).
Maybe Big can fill us in on any positive breaking news from conference.

Hope this helps,...WK <eom>
