Alan Greenspan will speak this morning to bankers in Chicago. He is expected to address U.S. banks and the Asian situation. His remarks should contain some subtle references to the emotional attachments some banks have in that region. Probably something to the effect of throwing good money after bad. I think the "flavor" of his talk *could* be tinged with negativity on the banks, and renewed caution towards world markets. There will also be a Q&A session following his presentation, "Payment Systems in Global Economies".
