Sounds quite logical. The problem is stock is going down quite fast. At this rate we will see 0 by the end of next week. So you can buy ALL of the outstanding MSFT shares with 1 penny, haha

What about peer to peer networking? MSFT has included it all along with Win 95. They didn't have to... its less popular that the internet would be... They could have (and did at one time) sell it seperatly. The reason to include it is costs... It costs MORE to seperately package and market it, compared to the profit they could expect..

The problem is that governments tend to rather inept at picking winners and losers and determining what the demands and needs of a society are. I think you realize this as you point out in your post, moving to Peking is a BAD idea. Rich people do not survive under 'red-china', at least not the one I was familiar with.

State controlled economies stifle innovation, become corrupt, do not meet customer demand, lead to black markets and so forth and so on.
