TronTornado, the original yahoo poster of the european modem/TA post, replied to my questions. to read the questions, click above on the message that i'm replying to. yet another rumor! we now have IM, at least one unknown european communications hardware maker, unknown large US OEM that is interested in security aspects (HP?), and somebody on yahoo started a rumor that win98 will include built-in wave meter support :) here are TronTornado's replies from message 1108 on the yahoo thread: === 1] No we are not Acotec, cannot release at the moment for confidentiality reasons, so yes-another EU company is getting in on the act. 2] In September 98 in the UK BT are launching a brand new low cost ISDN service for SOHO users, our product has been picked as one of two to be supplied for use with this service. 3] We are currently looking at relaying our boards to incorporate the Wave chip; we have meetings next week with their EU representative's to move this forward. 4] We design and manufacture a range of Internal - External and PCMCIA products in the modem, ISDN and soon to be announced ADSL field. 5] Our discussions about volumes are going on at present, we are gearing for between 10K to possibly 40K a month for this one project. 6] Not sure about the split on revenues need to ask those guys. We are looking at the whole issue of E Commerce and firmly believe we need to be an early player to maximise the marketing and revenue opportunities out there.
