OOPS this was in response to mohan's comments on displaced workers but ended up back to your post... I thought the high tech guys were in great demand whether in Boston or whatever,I am sure they will quickly find jobs either in Boston or elsewhere. Sadly enough, not true in the northeast, what you will see (and have been seeing) with the collapse of the 128 technology base is that people with a 20 year history, family, friends in the area have the choice of moving to CA or North Carolina or somewhere else far away, or taking a huge pay cut to stay on in the area, usually a career change as well. There are lots of high tech jobs but not in Boston.
