<We are simply not sure whether SoftQuad
International has the talent to know what
they are doing.>

??My understanding of this company is that
it has quite a few very nice programs thru
Alpha. Softquad's Hotmetal has in the past
been widely regarded as one of the best
products (well, compilation of products)
in the catagory, there are some nice buzz
words out there now: Elmo. And 747 is getting
nice shelf space next to MS flight sim in
the stores.

I think your comment is an over-reaction to
the problems of late, or more likely, a
reaction to the dissappointing performance
as it dropped from 1.5 back down to 0.8.
(yes-?)

Disregarding the stock price for the moment,
what more does one need for a cheap speculative
bet on a software company?

Even if Corel, or Macromedia, or Netscape doesn't
buy them out in the next six months, I do think
they should be able to survive okay even so (that
is, this stock will not go to zero).

(Just some speculation...)

I do agree with the theme of one of you most
recent posts, Hotmetal is not getting the
attention that Frontpage ("oops, frontpage just
erased my entire harddrive he he") or Dreamweaver
are getting of late.

I would suggest that MACR is waaay overvalued right
now, and SWEBF is waaay undervalued.
