Will they get the pay commensurate with their previous employment, or will the again have to compete with the newly graduated, unskilled labor force.

It has been my experience that state employees are not fully aware or some of the complex issues. It seems to me that a job at McDonald's or Burger King is counted just like a job in a highly technical field. JMHO

re: the NY Times this morning. They said these poeple would be grabbed up very quickly.

There is also a rumor there is a crying need for high tech workers...despite the fact there are many highly skilled capable workers that are unemployed.
