Fair point Keith. It seems that this release has had no ill effect. I was frankly surprised at the big hit the last one caused. I wrongly assumed that BTIM investors had all heard this before and had fully discounted the stock price for Asensio's sentiments.

If Asensio is right then I am still in shock at how people so smart as to perpetrate such a fraud could have failed to cash in on it. I know of no insider selling having taken place at all. I wonder what his answer to that is? Bill Wexler says that insiders are using the inflated price as margin for purchasing high quality holdings yet some of the filings indicate that this is not the case. I cannot remember that exact verbage but Segal's filing had a clause that stipulated that BTIM shares would not be sold to cover margin calls under any circumstance (please correct me if my memory has faded on this).
