Now, it all makes sense. "Rich get richer, and poor, well
you know what happens to them suckers!" theory!
So this is bailing out of the ship in anticipation of
disaster! Now I have to ask myself that famous question:
"Do you feel lucky?"

To all: Concern over modem sales and operating costs were both mentioned on cnnfn at 2:10 this afternoon. According to the announcer, the analyst (sorry I don't have the name of the firm) who met with 3com said that the uncertainty was short term and his firm maintained its long term buy rating. Hope this helps.

>> "3Com Corp. (COMS) fell as much as 2 to 32 13/32 as the computer-networking company reported lower profit amid steep price cuts, while rival Cisco Systems Inc. (CSCO) reported yesterday that fiscal third-quarter profit before charges rose 45 cents
a diluted share from 35 cents a year ago. Cisco's strong relationship with existing customers lets it sell a range of equipment that helped bolster its profit margin." Don't know what report they are referring to however.<<

If this is true, it could spook some MMs. But we need to see
the details. Any serious COMS investor knows that it's problems
are not solved by the end of this quarter. All that is
required is progress. Any MM that doesn't know this, and I
bet there's more than you think, is going to panic.

Bloomberg quote is not good news (from this bare,
uncritical review of COMS's status), but not news to panic
over.

Shorts will love to start a panic if they can...
