May 7, 1998/FOOLWIRE/ -- Computer technology
education company Computer Learning Centers (Nasdaq: CLCX) advanced $1 9/16
to $15 after regulators in Illinois allowed the company to resume marketing
and enrollment activities at its Schaumberg campus. The company has agreed
to "certain measures and procedures" to operate within the letter of
Illinois' education laws, the firm said. Yesterday, the Department of
Education said it would audit the company to determine its eligibility for
federally funded student loans.
