Trey I just received a Newsletter brochure that is sent to me from time to time from Ameritech to small businesses. In it there is a spread on ISDN vs ADSL with a very pro slant towards ISDN. I found it curious coming from the same people who will eventually be deploying ADSL service. Things that make you go Hmmmm....

Well... with the slightly negative payroll numbers (and the expected drop in the Dow), does this mean our favorite contrarian play Westell will go up again?

I'm outta WSTL.

Been nice chatting with ya all from time to time, and I may drop in again, but I've held this turkey long enough. I'm tired of looking at the only negative line on my potfolio, so I've taken my loss and moving on.

Once upon a time Westell WAS, in a manner of speaking, DA MAN in xDSL. Now everybody's in it and I haven't a clue as to what all these alliances and partnerships mean. It seems Westell is in with everyone, including TexInst and Lucent, but these guys are in with everyone else, including Westell's competitors. I'm lost, so out I go.

My exit is a buy signal. If some of my past trades are any indication of the future, Lucent will probably buy Westell Monday for a nice premium. <gr> Best of luck.
