You're right, I didn't read your original question correctly. Odd-numbered Thursdays are usually an "off-moment" for me. <gg>

>> where is the "subject number"??<<

Forgive me if this has been answered but it is a bit confusing here today and I did not see the answer to this question.

The subject number is at the end of the URL. URL is the address at the top of your browser that starts with http://

Right now if you look at the top of your browser you will see respond at the end of the URL. That refers to the post you are reading now.

If you click on "Welcome to Silicon Investor!" at the top of this page it will take you to the lead in page that you want to reference. Once you are there the URL will change and you will see subject number at the end. You can copy and paste everything after the last forward slash and then add # in front or you can hand type #SUBJECT- and then the number.

I hope I have not made this more confusing than it already seems to be.
Here is a place to practice #Subject-12305

I do not believe IE 3.0 supports the jump ahead feature. For example when you put 0 in the box and hit enter (return) nothing happens.

If someone wants to respond to a 0 post and they have IE 3.0 they first need to find the number one post from the complete list of posts and then click on the 0 response.
