Bravo Scott!

The first sane, informed, non-hype post I've seen on this board in a
long time.

You are absolutely right about the relative value of Repap on
a $$ per ton of capacity valuation basis. (Per Repap's CEO,
the way anyone looking to buy out Repap would do it). It is
fully priced if you compare to the Blanding or other recent buyouts.

As a former holder since the $0.12 U.S. range, and a recent seller of
my Repap stock, I just let the hype run freely.

Repap IS a solid paper company from an operational point. And
being fairly priced does not mean Repap won't go to $1.00 U.S. in
the next 3 months, It just means it will be speculators, not investors
who drive the price up there. Maybe Daimler Benz will buy them
out at a premium too?

Yo Yo

Scott, we all must remember that in December and January, tens of millions of blocks of shares were crossed in the 10-18 cent range. When REPAP went up from the 18-39 cent range, there must have been lots of selling at a great profit. I have not noticed any other blocks go through in the 30 cent range (I could be mistaken) but the speculation was driving this stock and crossed blocks of shares, peaked a lot of our interests. I thought if it crossed 40 cents, then perhaps, there was something more solid. I believe now that it will slip back to the 20 cent range.

The debt is the killer of the value of this stock, like you said.

I am still wondering about the TD purchases.Did they sell any or all?Why did they buy so much in the first place for their clients accounts? Pretty risky for a company of TD's stature don't you think?Or is their something they know that we don't?Have I missed something maybe?
