THREAD --- ANOTHER UPGRADE ---Compaq Computer Corp. (CPQ) 32 5/8 +1 3/8: Cowen & Co. raises 1999 estimate on computer maker as proxy statement on DEC acquisition suggest that company ready to make aggressive cuts; continues to rate issue a "buy," but raises six-nine month price target to $40; raises FY99 EPS from $1.55 to $2.20 and establishes a FY00 net of $2.75 a share.....

See that is whre out-of-favor helps in long-term investing.....I know absolutely nothing about compaq. I just recently learned how to spell it. But I know out-of-favor when I see it.

And I still don't know what's going on with this Stock...other than they are big and buying Dec...or somebody.
