Stock price does NOTHING to effect the credibility or lack thereof of a company in the eyes of those who use (or are thinking of using) that company's products.

Funny, this was mentioned as one of Borland's problems just months ago. The perception was that the dragging stock was a reflection on Borland's products. Now a high-flying stock isn't going to effect credibility?

The case still remains. Borland needs to convince IT managers that it's product solution is the best and then they need to sell it. Borland is taking steps in the right direction for this. Some investor confidence certainly won't hurt the company..
