Hi Ibexx
you asked about the suspension of trading for a few hours for Baan
on the Amsterdam exchange a few weeks ago.Sorry that I haven't gotten back to you until now. Well, the reason was that Baan had two stock crashes (about 10% loss within hours), one when their results were far below expectations and the next soon after when a newspaper reported on Baan's " creative" bookkeeping. Suspension of trading is possible on some stock exchanges when drops go so fast that the normal buyer and seller would be disadvantaged as they buy without limits not expecting sudden losses
of such magnitude. The Frankfurt exchange doesn't have such rules by the way.
