TT,
I feel a prolonged decline will take more than what Starr produces.Look at everything we shrugged off in the past. What is scarey is that the market tanked in Oct. due to Asia very quickly and recovered....that just made investors less impacted by "real" bad news. Now that the market is more or less "toughened" against bad news, things are getting very tricky/scarey.IMHO.The obvious is money flow and interest rates...decline in eps. growth doesn't even affect PE...although I think there is more than that to worry about....AND you can't let a day change the forces. Most know I feel this market is overvalued but I am chicken to fight the trend. My silly little "psych" indicators say a move to new highs sooner than later...unless something wierd happens tomorrow, which I doubt.BWDIK
Thanks for all your posts on this thread.

Barbara
