Marlin,

I have recently encountered the same problem you mention. Trying to exit trades, several times I have been totally unable to exit no matter what keys I used. Some were up a point or so when I started trying to get out and I still ended up losing before it was over.

I have completely given up on using the "Smart" keys because I do not believe I understand how they work and, to me, the operator manual is not very clear. I get too many error messages that do not make any sense to me.

Sometimes I cannot get out via ISLD either, and I don't understand the error messages given on those occasions. As far as using SOES and SelectNet, problems there too. Sometimes I cannot tell the SOES tier level, and SelectNet almost never fills me. I gave it up long time ago.

Did you ever realize that you cannot log on with the direct TNTO keys? I tried and tried at the beginning and finally asked someone who told me they were not active. Not mentioned anywhere in the operator manual that I could find.

I was told there would be more training available, then I was told that Thomas Roy, who was to do the training, was no longer with the company. It sure is frustrating, though, to have a one-point (or more) profit staring at you and to give it all up because you cannot get out of the trade. Did I tell you about the other day when I lost four-points in six minutes? I don't even remember the stock, but that's when I stopped trading.

Bill

Being a trader myself, I like to use Select Net to get in and out of my trades, not SOES. try preferencing the market makers on the side(bid or ask) that you want to get out on. Sometimes preference two or three of them at the same time. SOES is my last option, because it is usually overloaded with traffic and you lose your price. If you don't know what preferencing is, you shouldn't be trading. Also if the momentum on your trade has stopped and your not out yet, it makes it that much harder to close the postion. Try getting out while the trade is still moving.
