You need to work on that golf game Pat, those new Bugs look kind of cool and you didn't even try!

I've ridden in one already and, you're right, they're pretty cool. Trouble is, everyone stares at you. As for the contest, the line was long and my road home even longer. Besides, what would I do with two cars????

I have to tell you, though, I was in Cabo San Lucas more years ago than I'll admit and was playing croquet at Hotel Palmilla when the game came down to the winning shot and I had to make it in between a couple enemy balls and through several hoops, all at an awkward angle, in order to win and my former husband bet me $1000 I couldn't make it.

I did and it was an absolutely phenomenal shot. I suspect you only get one of those in a life time.

As for the AT&T announcement, from what NN told me, there's quite a bit more involved than the release indicates. What we need is for a proper analyst to write up a report explaining the significance to the bottom line.

I'm having dinner on Saturday with someone close to the company who might be able to give me a hypothetical answer. "If a company got such and such a contract. . . what would the likely implications be. . . considering the growth of the industry. . . and so on." Honest to Pete, if this is a DSL contract for all of AT&T, it's a whole lot bigger than anyone realizes. In fact, it's probably the largest award of its kind ever. Someone else will have to decide how it compares to the Joint Procurement Consortium contract that went to Alcatel back in '96.

Thanks for posting the article. It's the first I've seen this version.

Later --
