See Pat's post:

Terence Matthews' resume lists the standard info, and the interview with NN's McLeod reveals their early lead in ATM and puts their strategy in perspective. Without damning TDM (says its for the 80s), he focuses on ATM as the way of the future --- and this back in 1994

and my post:

which has a link to an Upside.com interview:

Newbridge was the first company to get into ATM. Why was that? ATM is different: It's fixed, it's cell-based so there's no variation in the size of the packet

Pat - The recent spate of news releases (and the impending Supercom event in June) raises an interesting question: will the Street be more focused on Newbridge's prospects (which clearly seem to be improving daily) or their quarterly earnings (which will likely not reflect to any significant degree these new contracts)? In a logical world, analysts would disregard the quarter and focus on the prospects. Given Newbridge's recent earning's shortfall, however, I could easily envision an illogical response to mediocre numbers.

In regard to a "June" effect on Newbridge, I tried to analyze it, but I think the release of earnings overshadows any discernable price appreciation related to Supercomm. As for late May to early April, however, this marks the 8th year in a row that NN has appreciated considerably in this time period, even when adjusted for overall S&P or NASDAQ movement.

Here are the historic results:
