Justa:

Thanks for your very informative listing of semicondicutor capital equipment stocks that have fallen off their 1997 highs.

I bought my first 200 shares of UTEK at $28.50. My average cost is now $23.89 per share. I've watched UTEK move up to 8% in one day - this is a VERY volitile stock. As an INVESTOR, I'm impressed with their managment and future prospects. Unlike some, I'm impressed by their announced long term commitment to EUV as described in ArtZ's news conference yesterday.

It shows me they're looking past P-Gild and Verdent. I'm perfectly willing to have some so-called "dead money" in my portfolio for the time it takes for investors to realize UTEK's potential. I realize that it would be unreasonable to expect that every part of my portfolio to generate a market return ALL the time. I believe near term UTEK underperformance will be handsomely rewarded in the long term (1999 and forward). I'd rather be there early, than miss the boat. If things don't work out, I will blame myself, not Brinker or anyone else.
