RADCOM Announces Wire-Speed 10/100 Mbps Ethernet Module for PrismLite WAN/LAN/ATM Protocol Analyzer
Helps troubleshoot full-duplex fast Ethernet links and mixed-technology environments
MAHWAH, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 19, 1998-- RADCOM Ltd. (NASDAQ-NM Symbol: RDCMF - news) today announced its new 10/100 Mbps Ethernet module for the PrismLite and Prism200 WAN/LAN/ATM analyzers. The module offers wire-speed testing of half- or full-duplex Fast Ethernet links, wire-speed traffic generation, 7-layer protocol analysis and integration with other ATM and WAN modules.

''With the immense popularity of 100 Mbps Ethernet in corporate environments, network managers and end-users seek a solution to test 100 Mbps links going to file servers and desktops,'' said Yoav Banin, product manager at RADCOM.

''The new auto-sensing 10/100 Mbps module for the PrismLite makes our WAN/LAN/ATM protocol analyzer an all-purpose ''Swiss Army Knife'' for testing mixed technology environments. This is the only portable test equipment providing simultaneous Fast Ethernet/ATM or Fast Ethernet/WAN testing.''

The 100 Mbps module provides full duplex wire-speed testing for fast Ethernet links. As a result, users don't have to worry about missing information that may be crucial to their troubleshooting efforts. Wire-speed traffic generation, including play back of captured data, assures that critical problems can be easily reproduced. In addition, this module supports RADCOM's unique 7-layer-live technology, allowing live analysis of high-layer protocols such as HTTP.

To further reduce downtime on mission-critical networks, RADCOM also offers unique cable taps, both for copper and fiber links, allowing non-intrusive monitoring of full-duplex Ethernet links. These taps, the MegaTap and FiberTap, allow the user to plug the analyzer into the circuit without tearing down the link.

''Our customers can easily measure packet latency and loss between ports of same or different technologies,'' added Mr. Banin.

''The system time stamp, synchronized to one microsecond across all ports, together with simultaneous operation of ATM and LAN or WAN and LAN, make it easy to optimize router configurations or measure the performance of a firewall using this new module.''

The 10/100 Mbps Ethernet module will begin shipping this June.

Boeing and Radcom Ltd. to Collaborate in Producing High-speed Protocol Analyzers
SUNNYVALE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 4, 1998--The Boeing Company [NYSE:BA - news] and RADCOM Ltd., a leading provider of internetwork testing equipment, announced today their intention to collaborate in offering a new family of high-performance protocol analyzers. These new products, which use advanced technology components from both companies, will initially target Asynchronous Transfer Mode (ATM) analysis at 622 Mbps and beyond.

Under terms of an agreement to be finalized over the next few weeks, Boeing will enhance a new protocol analyzer, the AS4950 which was introduced earlier this year. The AS4950 is the first ''adaptive'' network analyzer to support multi-technology and multi-protocol applications on a single board. Boeing will integrate key RADCOM components into the AS4950, and RADCOM will assume sales and marketing responsibility for the product. The first integrated product is slated for shipment in September, 1998.

Commenting on the announcement, Moty Ben Arie, CEO of RADCOM, said, ''This cooperative effort with Boeing underlines our strategy to partner with key technology partners. We believe that the new product will be a unique and powerful testing tool, ideal for today's changing communications world.''

James Hora, Boeing Product Line Manager, said, ''We are very pleased to team with RADCOM. Its worldwide sales and marketing channels, together with its proven protocol analyzer expertise, make RADCOM a valuable partner. By integrating Boeing's innovative ATM analyzer technology with RADCOM's proven expertise and market presence, we can quickly bring an innovative and powerful product to market.''
