Chip Sales In The Americas Slip During March
(05/07/98; 8:01 p.m. ET)
By Staff, Semiconductor Business News

excerpt
The SIA said the drop in chip sales reflected continued overcapacity in
memory chips, and depressed pricing for those products.

Do they run the same article every couple of weeks? <g>

You wrote
<<I heard about him through Mike Burke >>

Now let me say that Mike Burke does not collect money.
He gives advice freely.
Could it be that Mike makes enough money in the market? (g)

You don't you ask Fred Why he needs to charge for his news letter.

Mike,

I have no problem with the numbers presented by Hickey and I mentioned that to Ahale. I took issue with the way they have been presented. Now you have to understand I did not read his article, but rather I have to go on what Ahale reports...which was evident to me as someone trying to instigate and certainly is biased.

My comments were that the data is extraneous and does not take into account the split adjusted price. One also has to consider the fact that it was not even the same company today as it was then. So the meaning of $.14 a year has little if any value to the current, let alone future, performance of MU.

Maybe Hickey has a great newsletter, I really don't know, but it is the selected excerpt, out of context, that everyone was taking issue with.

Good Luck Trading

Finally, let me ask you if you buy puts using a full service
broker ? Or do you make up your own mind and use a discount broker?

I guess you use a full service broker ! Right ?
