Really nice thread work today, especially from Joe, John & Karl. It's a joy when all pull together.
In response to a recent query about Ford and Y2k. They're pretty much ahead of the curve as far as the core company itself is concerned. They've targeted Y2k fairly intensively for a couple of years now. There are roughly 180+ plants to re-mediate and things seem to be going fairly well.
However, I do hear that there are some serious internal concerns with Ford (and I suspect their competitors as well)concerning their Tier 1 production suppliers et al, both at home and abroad.
I want to protect my snitches, but this comes from a reasonably high management level.
By the way, I find that speculation about D-B/Birmingham & TAVA mighty thought-provoking!
