Ace,

Keiko signing off here and I hope to drop a few postings from Trinity Biotech in County Wicklow, with the permission and clearance of corporate headquarters.

Concerning the recent questions about FDA submissions ?

During the last Conference Call, Mr. Farrell mentioned plans to submit two or three POC rapid tests and now that Dr. Allan Pronovost is officially " on board " those tests are being developed and ready for FDA submission. ( GAS is looking good ) Clammy had recent trials in the UK with good results....Hep A and PSA are on the back burner. The holdup on the PSA rapid test is the need to develop a plate version first. Remember, Trinity inherited the CNTO PSA antigens when they acquired the Diagnostic business from Centocor. Rumors are that CNTO is trying to sell all their Diagnostic business and Cambridge is attempting to dump their line of Diagnostics.

Ace, as you previously mentioned, Trinity has all those Cancer markers that are being developed in the rapid format. I hope to see how those are coming along during my visit.

HIV Unigold approval from US FDA ?

It's anyones guess where we stand on that front ? I keep wondering if the glitch involves the Sanofi/ Pasteur licences on the HIV 2 antigen since the FDA has taken the position that all POC rapid HIV screening tests for introduction in the US must include sensitivity to both HIV I and HIV 2. Abbott has acquired these licences from Sanofi .

ps...referring to the Selfcare settlement, I have the impression, Trinity management preferred not to " spook" the SLF market with this contentious issue and chose to keep it low key since both management and Trinity plc, hold a major equity position worth millions of Dollars.
