Richard, I have tried to read the technical analysis sections of some investment books in my library. I usually quit mid-stream when my head starts to hurt. Fortunately, it makes sense to some of you on this thread. Statistics was one of my most difficult courses in college. I also had to take a course called quantitative analysis where the tests were open book. I ended up with just over a 60 average for the semester and made an A in the course due to the huge curve. So I am not alone in having difficulty grasping these concepts. Thanks for your help.

Nothing says bollinger bands have to be set to 2 standard deviations from a 20 day moving average. Other settings work well on certain indices.
