Despite the many protests and insults from my detractors, I have been, continue to be, and will be 100% correct about the Zonagen fraud. Zonagen did not "receive" patent protection for Vasomax. Oral Phentolamine is widely available. This fact can be easily verified by making a simple phone call to a pharmacy or manufacturing pharmacy. Zonagen *purchased* two patents. The first patent covered every delivery method for Phentolamine EXCEPT oral ingestion!!! Therefore - by definition - the first patent provides NO protection for Vasomax. The second patent only covers a mixture of inert ingredients and a disintegrant. This is what Zonagen laughingly refers to as its "fast-acting" formulation. The "fast-acting" hype is an important part of the stock promotion fraud because it is intentionally designed to mislead investors into thinking Vasomax works faster than Viagra. Two problems with this: 1) Vasomax does not help ED in any way (this is from Zonagen's own clinical trial results at the last AUA presentation and can be easily verified.) 2) Phentolamine is not rapidly absorbed in an oral formulation.asensio.com Conclusion: purchasing two worthless patents is not equivalent to receiving a new patent on original art or discoveries. Zonagen has no patent protection for Vasomax. Anyone can make oral phentolamine tablets and they are already widely available. I was wrong about my prediction that Zonagen would never file an NDA, simply because I assumed that Zonagen would keep postponing the filing indefinitely to maintain an information vacuum. Zonagen has deliberatly obfuscated and withheld clinical test results in order to artificially inflate the stock. I assumed this pattern would continue. Recently, Schering Plough gave Zonagen an "accelerated" milestone payment. I believe that this was really a form of pressure to file the NDA. As soon as the NDA was filed, speculators quickly sold the stock off realizing that there was no way now to hide the Vasomax scam. As soon as the FDA rejects Vasomax, the stock will fall to the floor in a matter of minutes. As far as my assertion that Joe Podolski is a filthy, lying crook - I am, once again, 100% correct. Mr. Podolski has lied repeatedly to IBD, CNBC, and in press releases - both about the efficacy rates of Vasomax and changing endpoints in clinical trials. This too can be easily verified. Mr. Podolski also attempted to copy a compound known as Chitosan and repatent it as Immumax. Even after getting caught red-handed and having the patent rejected Zonagen continued to claim that it had a marketable drug in the December 1996 10-K. I correctly predicted the collapse of Texas Biotechnology (TXB). TXB's CEO - David McWilliams - is a director of Zonagen. TXB's modus operandi is very similar to Zonagen's. They tried to repackage an existing compound for a new medical purpose, conducted sloppy clinical trials, and engaged in fraudulent stock promotion including paying off crooked stock promoters. When their drug candidate (Novastan) got rejected by the FDA small investors were left holding the bag. Check the TXB threads on SI and here. I strongly recommended shorting the stock between 5 and 9 a share - it now trades in the 3s and falling. Just like here, I received numerous insults and taunts from the shills including a particularly loathsome shill named "Dauntless" who has mysteriously failed to respond to my inquiries regarding the TXB fraud and stock collapse. Zonagen is a fraud and a scam and will inevitably trade in the low single digits.
