seems strange to me too!

Dow Jones Online News, Wednesday, May 06, 1998 at 16:40

NEW YORK -(Dow Jones)- Shares of software firm Connect Inc.
surrendered part of the 73% advance they made Tuesday, sliding back 23%
Wednesday on possible profit-taking.
Connect's shares (CNKT) fell $1 to close at $3.313 Wednesday on
volume of 1.2 million shares, compared with average daily turnover of
158,000.
The shares skyrocketed Tuesday after AT&T Corp.'s wireless-services
unit licensed Connect's software for Internet-based commerce. The AT&T
(T) unit also deployed a customer service and electronic-commerce system
based on Connect's One Server application-development software.
Connect Chief Financial Officer Joseph Girata said no new
announcements were made that could account for Wednesday's decline. He
speculated that it could be profit-taking after Tuesday's surge.
Analysts who follow the company didn't immediately return calls
seeking comment.
