I do agree there will be a knee jerk reaction...but LU should not be taken lightly

I agree and didn't mean to sound cavalier. There most likely will be a big drop in CIEN the minute LU announces product availability. There's enough business for both and that's why I said the perception will be worse than the reality.

I don't think anyone that is serious about CIEN is taking Lucent lightly but I believe the market is big enough for more than one or two major players. Your point is nothing new around here but it is the usual gasoline that will drive the hard core Cien shareholders to counter with Lucent's "vaporware" bashing. "FEAR" & "GREED" is what wall street is all about. Sounds like you are no different than the rest.
