Why is this important? Corel Computer views this announcement as a beginning of a significant partnership with the Linux and Open Source communities. These communities include members who are Linux advocates and developers as well as corporate members such as Netscape Communications Corp., Caldera Inc., Red Hat Software, Cygnus Solutions, Digital Equipment Corp., Software AG and Pick Systems. Corel Computer intends to help Open-Source Software move rapidly into the mainstream through further promotion and development.
