Technical question on Advanced lan, massive array disk storage systems are only used to impress people who only know PCs. No one would go to s/390 systems to do VOD. Today, distributed system people of technical competence use SSA or fibre channel disk storage systems of multi 5 1/4" or even multi 3.5" drives with up to 128 nodes. Transmission from hard disks are all slow; but you use multi-parallel multi head I/O to get speed simultaneously.

Please keep up with your technology, before coming on to people who are mechanical engineers.

If you want to learn how to design architecture of computer system, why don't you just ask? By email if you are shy? If I have to do the work, you may have to pay a fee.
