Thanks Jim-- nice to see you back after long time, with your expertise in Japan and overall macro- market it is heartening to see that you find post interesting, it is just a point of view. Trying to challenge established norms the gurus like BCA are the ones who help make the big European fund managers decisions to invest in US. Thanks BCA most of them have good conferences in Bermuda but have missed US equities completely.

Are you referring to something other than the normal Fed Funds maintenance? The Fed routinely adds/drains reserves to try to keep the funds rate at 5.5% per the quote below from;

cbs.marketwatch.com

At 10:30 a.m. ET, with federal funds at 5 3/8 percent, the Federal Reserve drained funds from the banking system through overnight and seven-day matched sales repurchase agreements.

I'm not that familiar with all the Fed's actions and that is why I am asking. Always something more to learn for me.
