Anyone know what Windows adds to the cost of a PC? What would happen if I wanted to buy a new PC w/o Windows (assuming one were available) and simply transfer Windows95 from my old computer to my new one? Would it violate the license to copy the OS to the new OS-less computer for the exclusive purpose of making the transfer?

Yeah, I noticed Dermot. Lots of homage paid to the phantom founding mother Rand. Bill Gates is John Galt, you know. It'll be interesting to see how that holds up in court - I imagine that the Reagan era federal judiciary, lovingly shepherded through the Senate by probationary ilkster Hatch, has a higher percentage of Objectivists than the general population, but probably not enough.

Cheers, Dan.
